Blower door and duct leakage testing, sealed attic tightness testing and new home certifications
An envelope leakage test (also known as a blower door test) is required for all residential new construction under the current edition of the Florida Building Code. Duct leakage testing can also be required under Florida Building Code, depending on whether it was required as a means to pass the energy code during permitting.
Does your spray foam sealed attic meet the definition of a sealed assembly? Many don't. Every sealed attic should be tested and verified to have leakage at an absolute minimum. If not, condensation and comfort issues can quickly follow.

Manual J room-by-room HVAC load calculations, Florida Energy Code compliance calculations and building diagnostic consulting
A properly sized HVAC system will deliver both energy efficiency and comfortable indoor conditions. Bigger IS NOT better when it comes to sizing air conditioning equipment in a hot, humid climate. Indoor moisture management is essential to achieving both comfort and good indoor air quality. Our practitioners perform each load calculation in strict accordance with the ACCA Manual J published procedure.
Florida Energy Code calculations are required for permitting on all residential new construction. We can help ensure that your project passes the energy code requirements for permitting, meeting both your energy efficiency goals as well as your project's budget.
